Swansea Man Jailed for Peddling Class A Drugs
A 26-year-old man from Swansea has been locked up for his role in supplying Class A drugs. Jay Hume, from West Cross, was caught after police traced his phone number linked to another arrested drug dealer in June.
Phone Evidence Seals His Fate
Authorities combed through Hume’s mobile messages, uncovering a flood of texts about cocaine payments. This damning evidence proved his involvement in the drug trade.
Six Years Behind Bars
Swansea Crown Court sentenced Hume to six years for conspiracy to supply cocaine, aiming to keep dangerous dealers off the streets.
Detective Warns: Crime Doesn’t Pay
“Jay Hume was a key player in the supply of cocaine onto the streets of Swansea and now has been rightfully jailed for a number of years, reducing his ability to pose a danger to the public,” said Detective Sergeant Thomas Richardson.
“Analysis of messages on Hume’s phone showed plans to expand their operation by recruiting more dealers later this year.”
“This sentencing sends a clear message – drug crime does not pay. You will be caught, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
