Young Woman’s Fake Age Scheme Ends in Brutal Stabbing
An 18-year-old woman faked being a 15-year-old and twisted a man’s feelings into a violent attack. At Swindon Crown Court, Chloe Coster was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm without intent after stabbing her victim over missed luxury gifts.
Luxury Demands Fuel Toxic Relationship
Using the fake name Hope Morgan, Coster convinced 35-year-old Sufian Abusufian she was 19 and in a relationship with him. Prosecutor Alec Small revealed she constantly belittled Abusufian while demanding costly jewellery, booze, and sweets. What started out friendly quickly turned toxic, hinging on Abusufian’s ability to spoil her.
Violence Erupts at Holiday Inn After Gifts Run Dry
The drama climaxed on January 20, 2021, at a Holiday Inn on Marlborough Road. When no more gifts appeared, Coster flew into a rage. She stabbed Abusufian multiple times in the ear, arm, and head, causing serious injuries.
From Threats to Fine and Community Order
After the attack, Coster twisted the truth, threatening Abusufian with legal action over her real age and claiming he was a stalker. Judge Jason Taylor KC branded her “calculated” and “conniving,” handing down a two-year community order including 150 hours unpaid work and 25 days rehabilitation. She must also pay a £1,000 fine and faces jail if she breaches the order.
