Teen Charged with Murder After Fatal Smethwick Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Zeshan Afzal in a shocking stabbing incident in Smethwick.
Tragic Stabbing on Oldbury Road
West Midlands Police revealed that Zeshan Afzal was found with severe stab wounds following a disturbance on Oldbury Road just before 9pm on Friday, 20 February. Despite efforts to save him, he died shortly after being discovered at the scene.
Suspect to Appear in Court
The teenage suspect, whose name is withheld due to legal restrictions, is set to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court this morning for his first hearing.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers continue their investigation and are urging anyone with information, including mobile phone or dash cam footage, to come forward. Evidence can be submitted online to help crack the case.
