Teen Charged with Murder of Man in Gillingham
A 17-year-old boy from Barking, London, has been charged with the murder of a man in Gillingham. Kent Police arrested the teen in Coquelles, France, in the early hours of Saturday 11 January 2020.
Fatal Stabbing on Fox Street
The victim, a 35-year-old man, died from stab wounds after an incident on Fox Street, Gillingham, on the afternoon of Friday 20 December 2019. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched a murder investigation immediately.
Woman Released, Investigation Ongoing
A woman in her 40s, initially held on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released pending further enquiries. The boy charged with murder is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 January.
Police Hunt for Weapon
Detectives are still searching for a large knife believed to be involved in the attack. Anyone living near Fox Street who finds or spots a suspicious weapon is urged to call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/242350/19.
