Teen Charged After Knife Attack Leaves Three Injured in Brighton
A knife attack in Brighton has left three people injured, with a 17-year-old boy now facing serious charges. The violent incident took place on January 12 at around 11pm on Gardner Street.
Victims Seriously Wounded in Street Chase
A group of friends were being pursued by two assailants when the attack occurred. An 18-year-old woman was hurt, along with two 20-year-olds—a man and a woman—who suffered serious knife wounds requiring immediate medical treatment.
Youth Arrested and Charged Over Brutal Stabbing
Two 17-year-olds were arrested the following day and later bailed with strict conditions. On June 5, one of these teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was formally charged with:
- Two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent
- Assault
- Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
- Assaulting a police constable
The accused was remanded in custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on June 6 and is due back in court on June 11.
