Man Jailed After Nightclub Mayhem in Herne Bay
A violent night out in Herne Bay ended with a man behind bars after a shocking assault and dangerous driving incident.
Brutal Attack Inside Nightclub
Kenny McMahan, 27, sparked chaos at a Herne Bay nightclub on 27 July 2018. After clashing with staff during an argument, he was asked to leave. Instead, McMahan bit a member of staff’s eyebrow, causing a deep cut. Not done, he followed the victim outside and punched him multiple times in the back.

McMahan then jumped into a black Mercedes and charged the nightclub gates. His car caught the victim’s leg and smashed the gates. As he sped off, the vehicle collided with and damaged two parked cars nearby.
Justice Served at Canterbury Crown Court
The Herne Bay resident was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding, dangerous driving, and harassment for threatening messages sent in 2020. On 24 September 2020, he was sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
“McMahan’s actions on the night were completely reckless, and it’s lucky no one was seriously hurt,” said Detective Inspector Julien Lawton.
“After causing trouble inside, he attacked a man just doing his job and then drove dangerously, terrifying everyone present. I hope this sentence brings justice to his victims.”
