Shocking Details Emerge in Trial of Nikki Allan’s Tragic Death
Pathologist Reveals Horrific Injuries
The brutal murder of seven-year-old Nikki Allan has been laid bare at Newcastle Crown Court. Home Office pathologist Nigel Cooper told jurors Nikki suffered savage head injuries and was stabbed repeatedly with brutal force. He said Nikki may have been knocked unconscious with a brick before being attacked.
Man on Trial for Nikki’s Murder
David Boyd, 55, of Chesterton Court, Stockton-on-Tees, stands accused of the little girl’s murder. Prosecutors allege Boyd is responsible. But his defence team insists the evidence simply isn’t strong enough to tie him to the crime.
Gruesome Injuries Paint Chilling Picture
- Brick or heavy object caused severe skull trauma, possibly multiple blows.
- Nikki suffered at least 24 stab wounds to the chest, with one nearly 10cm deep.
- Her injuries caused catastrophic internal bleeding, leading to unconsciousness and death.
Dr Cooper also revealed the attacker would likely have been covered in blood, a critical piece of evidence in the case against Boyd.
Trial Still Underway
The courtroom drama continues as jurors weigh the chilling evidence against Boyd.
