Tragic Death of Scooter Rider After Collision in Sheffield

At around 8.15pm on Wednesday 2 June, a black Land Rover Discovery crashed into a Piaggio scooter on Mortimer Road. The scooter rider, 58-year-old Mark Jenkins, was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries the following week.

Man Arrested After Fatal Crash

A 47-year-old man from Stocksbridge, Sheffield, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving under the influence. He has since been released under investigation as police continue their inquiries.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Officers want anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles beforehand to come forward. They are especially keen to speak to the driver of a white Ford Ranger who may have witnessed the incident.
