Tragic Death of Young Dad Alinjavwa Siwale Shakes Community
Alinjavwa Siwale, 22, was found gravely injured on Affleck Road just after 12.15am on Friday, 11 December last year. Sadly, he died at the scene, leaving family and friends devastated.
Family Heartbroken Over “Irreplaceable” Son
In a moving statement, Alinjavwa’s family said: “Our lives have been changed forever. We are heartbroken, still in shock and angry. Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a child. It is very, very painful and no mother should ever have to go through this.”
They described Alinjavwa as a man with a “big heart” who made friends easily, guided them, and was loyal to each and every one. “He loved his brothers to bits and was an amazing father to his son.”
Remembering ‘Swizzino’ – The Rapper and Football Fan
Known as ‘Swizzino’ in the rap scene, Alinjavwa was a “free spirit” with big dreams. “He had the ability to brighten any room with his smile, attitude and infectious laugh,” his family said.
He was also passionate about football and played for Great Notley Football Club, continuing to pursue what he loved right to the end.
Two Men Charged – Trial Set for August
Two men, 25-year-old McKay and 19-year-old Phoenix Lee, both with no fixed address, have been charged with Alinjavwa’s murder. They are due to face trial this August.
This tragic case has left a community mourning a young life full of promise, gone far too soon.
