Five Hackney Men Jailed for Brutal Teenage Stabbing
Five men have been locked up after a shocking stabbing of a 15-year-old in a busy Hackney street. The judge blasted the group for attacking “like a pack of wolves.”
Fierce Hunt Led to Convictions
The Hackney Gangs Task Force cracked the case after analysing hours of CCTV. The footage showed the gang actively hunting their victim. Officers used their local knowledge to identify the culprits, resulting in prison sentences handed down at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday, 16 March.
- Kyle Taylor, 26, jailed for 6 years 4 months for GBH with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and violent disorder.
- Courtney Paul, 24, locked up for 8 years after being found guilty of GBH with intent and violent disorder.
- Cameron James-Meade, 18, sentenced to 3 years for GBH with intent and violent disorder.

- Amario Kerr, 18, received 3 years for GBH with intent and violent disorder.
Attack Terrifies Nighttime Crowd
The violent incident unfolded outside Broadway Market, E8, at 11.23pm on 30 July 2020. Hundreds were enjoying a night out when a gang fight with knives erupted. Panic spread as people fled, some fearing a terrorist attack. Police were swamped with 22 emergency calls.
Officers arrived within four minutes to find the 15-year-old stabbed multiple times. First aid was given by a brave bystander before paramedics rushed the victim to hospital. The suspects fled on bikes, leaving a large machete at the scene.
Meticulous Investigation Uncovers Chilling Details
In the hunt for justice, police launched a string of early morning raids, arresting suspects between August 2020 and May 2021. The court heard the victim entered London Fields armed with a machete, but his friends ran off. He was chased down Broadway Market and stabbed repeatedly. Bottles and chairs were hurled at him during the attack. The stabbing knife was never found.
Some suspects were caught googling news reports of the stabbing. Paul had a photo of the victim saved on his phone but claimed ignorance over how it got there. William Guy’s phone step counter showed a suspicious halt during the police hunt, while Snapchat chats revealed the gang’s fear of prosecution.
Paul and Guy claimed self-defence, though Guy admitted losing control during the attack.
PC Cal Gregory, Hackney Gangs Task Force:
“This was a long and meticulous investigation piecing together evidence. The incident terrorised the public and highlights the lasting impact of violence.
“The victim didn’t support the prosecution, but we pursued justice relentlessly. Our efforts are working – serious violent crime is down across London.
