14 Years On, Police Hunt Daniel Ross’s Killer in Kings Cross Nightclub Shooting
Detectives are on the case after Daniel Ross was fatally shot inside a packed Kings Cross nightclub 14 years ago – and they want witnesses to come forward now.
Night of Horror at Scala Club
It was just after 3:45am on Sunday, 24 September 2006, when police and ambulance crews rushed to the Scala nightclub on Pentonville Road. Among the 800 revellers was 22-year-old Daniel, who had been shot at close range on the dance floor.
Despite desperate efforts, medics could not save him and Daniel died in hospital.
Big Reward Offered for Breakthrough
Detective Inspector Will Reynolds urged anyone who was there that night – or with any info – to come forward. “The murder remains unsolved,” he said. “Your information could make all the difference.”
The Met Police have slapped a hefty £10,000 reward on the table for tips leading to an arrest and conviction. “No detail is too small,” DI Reynolds stressed. “It’s never too late to do the right thing.”
Family Plea: Bring Daniel’s Killer to Justice
“On the 14th anniversary of Daniel’s murder, we ask anyone with knowledge to come forward,” Daniel’s parents said. “Nothing can bring him back, but justice can still be served.”
“To the person who took Daniel’s life – do the honourable thing and give yourself up.”
“We still mourn Daniel deeply, living through waves of anger, grief, and pain over the silence surrounding his killer. We just want answers, and the truth.”
