“My thoughts are with the loved ones of the lady who died this afternoon following a dog attack in Caterham,” said Claire Coutinho, MP for East Surrey. “We appreciate the paramedics’ efforts on the scene, as well as the officers from Surrey Police who handled the situation so quickly.”

Surrey County Council leader Tim Oliver added, “It’s a terrible incident. It sounds absolutely shocking, and I’m sure the police will investigate. I’m not sure what can be done, but something must be done to prevent this from happening again.”
