On the night of Friday, January 6, Thamesmead police staged a major swoop. They stopped and searched a man who was caught with several drugs and over £2,000 in cash – believed to be a day’s earnings from dealing.

Suspect Arrested on Serious Charges

The suspect was detained on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and breaching a court order. Police swiftly seized the cash as part of their crackdown.

Financial Investigations Underway

A spokesperson for Bexley MPS said, “Great Friday and Saturday late shift for Thamesmead and Belvedere SNT who have caused some serious damage to the local drug supply chain.” They added: “The cash was seized, and we are conducting financial investigations to ensure it is retained.”
