Third Arrest Made in Sheffield Murder Probe
Police in Sheffield have arrested a third man in connection with the tragic death of 23-year-old Hamza Mohammed. The latest arrest came on Sunday, 16 June, as part of an ongoing investigation into the assault that led to his death.
Violent Attack on Staniforth Road
The brutal incident happened on Saturday 8 June at around 4:36pm BST on Staniforth Road, Darnall. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a serious assault. Hamza was found with severe head injuries and was taken to hospital, but sadly died on Monday evening, 10 June.
Suspects Released on Bail as Police Probe Continues
Alongside the third arrest, a 37-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of assisting an offender but has now been released on police bail. Earlier, a 23-year-old was arrested for robbery, and a 25-year-old for assisting an offender; both remain on bail as enquiries continue.
