Unprovoked Attack in Victim’s Own Garden
Carl Dyche was brutally assaulted in his own garden on the night of 2 December 2021. The three men climbed over his back gate and launched a relentless attack. Carl’s wife and son tried to intervene but were powerless to stop the sustained, vicious blows. Tragically, Carl died in hospital from his injuries.
Detective Breaks Silence on Harrowing Case
“This was a deeply upsetting investigation for the family,” said Detective Inspector Chris Percival, who led the probe. “Carl was senselessly beaten in front of his wife and young stepson in a brutal and unmotivated attack. Both provided brave, dignified evidence that was vital in securing guilty verdicts. It was an incredibly difficult task for a grieving family, especially those who witnessed this horror firsthand. “I offer my sincere condolences. While today’s sentencing won’t bring Carl back, I hope it helps his family begin to heal.”
