Four Arrested in East Lancashire Drug Bust
Police swooped on addresses in Burnley and Pendle yesterday, arresting four men suspected of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs. The crackdown forms part of a wider cross-border drug supply probe centred in East Lancashire.
Three Men Charged – Fourth Held
- Michael Rennie, 38, of Nelson’s Whitehough Place
- Michael Masih, 43, of Nelson’s Waidshouse Road
- Christopher Paul, 33, of Nelson’s Barkerhouse Road
All three face charges of conspiracy to distribute both class A and class B drugs. They are due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, July 28). A fourth man, 52, from Burnley, remains in custody.
Significant Drug Haul Seized
Officers recovered a large haul including 1, ketamine, and cannabis, along with drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, and cash. The operation targeted organised criminal gangs believed to be operating in the area.
“Yesterday we made four arrests following warrants at addresses in the east of the county,” said Detective Inspector Tom Edmondson of East CID. “Three people have been charged, and a fourth remains in custody while investigations continue.
“We rely on community intelligence about drug dealing and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
