Ashford Man Jailed for 21 Years Over Shocking Child Sex Abuse
David Davies Locked Up for Decades
David Davies, 46, was slammed with a 21-year prison sentence after being found guilty of sexually abusing two girls. The Ashford man was convicted of rape, sexual assault, and causing a child to engage in sexual activity following a trial at Canterbury Crown Court.
Victims Show Bravery, Case Unveiled
Davies was first arrested in 2021 when one of his victims bravely reported historic abuse to the police. A thorough investigation then uncovered a second victim who suffered similar horrific treatment at his hands.
Long Sentence and Lifelong Restrictions
On Friday, 20 December 2024, Davies was sentenced not only to 21 years behind bars but also ordered to serve an additional three years on licence. He will remain on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely to safeguard the public after his release.
Detective Urges Other Victims to Come Forward
“Davies targeted vulnerable victims and tried to silence them,” said Detective Constable Holly Hill. “I praise the victims for their courage. This jail term protects the public and holds Davies to account.
Anyone who has suffered sexual offences, recent or past, should report them immediately — we are here to take action.”
