Teen Stabbed in Kent Park: 16-Year-Old Arrested for Attempted Murder

Kent Police rushed to Grosvenor and Hilbert Park at 2:30pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, after a teenager suffered a stab wound. The victim was rushed to a London hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

Suspect Charged and Held in Custody

A 16-year-old boy from Tunbridge Wells was arrested the following day. On Saturday, June 4, he was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 6.

Further Police Action and Witness Appeal

Four other teenage boys linked to the case were released on bail pending further investigation. Detective Inspector Jim Farley of Tonbridge CID appealed to the public:

“Our officers are continuing to investigate and urgently need anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward. If you have video footage of the incident on your phone, please contact us immediately.”
