Others quickly joined in, rumouring that two people had been struck on Knightider Street on Saturday evening.
Posts Spread Panic Over Two Fatalities

Police Rush In to Quash Rumours

“There was a collision last night at around 8.15pm in Lower Stone Street involving a male pedestrian. He was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver stopped at the scene.”
So, no deaths. No critical injuries. And certainly no hit-and-run horror story to report.
