Two Men Charged After Stabbing in Canterbury
Police have charged two men with possession of a bladed weapon after a stabbing in Canterbury Lane last weekend.
Victim Stabbed in Canterbury Lane
Just before 10pm on Saturday 9 April 2022, a man was attacked by a group in Canterbury Lane. He suffered a wound consistent with a stab and was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, he has since been discharged.
Knife Seized on Train Through Ashford
During their investigation, officers stopped two men on a train passing through Ashford and found a knife. Both men have since been charged.
Details of the Suspects
- Troy Reid, 19, of Bellenden Road, Peckham – charged with possession of a bladed article and possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
- Ramone Thompson, 22, of Peckham Rye – charged with possession of a bladed article.
Both appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April and were remanded in custody. Their case will be reviewed at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 9 May.

Officers continue to investigate and urge anyone who witnessed the attack or has information to come forward.
