Cher Maximen, a 32-year-old mother, was attending the carnival with her child when she was brutally stabbed. The incident occurred in the midst of the festivities, leaving onlookers horrified. Police officers on the scene provided emergency medical treatment until paramedics arrived. Maximen was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to her injuries this morning.

In a separate incident, Mussie Imnetu, a 41-year-old tourist from Dubai, was attacked on the evening of Monday, August 26, in the Queensway area. Imnetu was found unconscious with a severe head injury and was taken to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, he passed away due to the extent of his injuries.

The Metropolitan Police have launched investigations into both attacks, appealing for witnesses and information that could help bring those responsible to justice. The tragic deaths have prompted widespread concern over safety at large public events, with authorities now under pressure to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future.
