Car Smashes Into Tree on Lynch Lane – Two Treated After Crash
Emergency services rushed to Lynch Lane, between Calbourne and Brighstone, just after 9.45pm on Sunday after a car veered off the road and smashed into a tree.
Two Injured, Taken to Hospital
Two people inside the vehicle were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to St Mary’s Hospital for checks. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Fire Crews Made Scene Safe
Fire teams from Newport and Freshwater attended, alongside police and the Isle of Wight 1 Service. A spokeswoman for 1 Fire and Rescue confirmed: “Crews attended and made the vehicle safe. No one was trapped.” The fire crews have now returned.
Road Closure Continues
Lynch Lane remains closed while recovery and accident investigation work is ongoing.
