Thieves Smash Their Way Into Co-op in Grain
Early on Monday 21 June 2021, a brazen burglary went down at the Co-op on Grain High Street. Crooks used a vehicle to ram the entrance and make off with cigarettes, alcohol, razor blades, and football trading cards. kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police were called to the scene shortly after 3am.
Suspects Caught After High-Speed Chase
Officers quickly spotted a suspicious BMW linked to the raid. The chase ended with the arrests of Bradley Pearce, 39, and Jamie Turner, 38, both with no fixed address. They were charged with burglary following the raid on the Co-op.
One Crook Linked to Another Theft
Pearce faces an additional burglary charge after bridal accessories were stolen from a shop in Rochester High Street just days earlier, around 12.15am on 17 June.
Guilty Pleas and Court Dates
Both men pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 22 June. They’ve been remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a date yet to be confirmed.
