Man Dies After Brutal Attack in Howards Close
At 10.34pm on Monday, 20 February, police were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in Howards Close, HA5, where an injured man was found.
Despite paramedics’ desperate efforts, the man died at the scene. He has been identified as 43-year-old Rafal Zabiecki.
Two Arrests Made in Murder Probe
Rafal’s next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are supporting them through this tragic time.
A post mortem revealed Rafal died from multiple blunt force injuries.
Two men, aged 61 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of murder. The older man has been bailed, while the younger remains in custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Hine, Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “My thoughts and those of my team are with Rafal’s family who are coming to terms with this terrible loss. We will continue to offer them our full support.
“The arrest of two suspects is a significant step, but we urge anyone in the Howards Close area on Monday evening who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
“We understand this news will worry the community but we believe this was an isolated incident. There is no wider risk to the public.”
