M25 Chaos in Surrey After Multi-Car Smash
A nasty multi-vehicle crash has shut the anti-clockwise lanes of the M25 between Junction 8 (Reigate) and Junction 6 (Godstone). Emergency services have swarmed the scene, with the lead responders working flat out to get things sorted.
Strategic Closures and Traffic Officers On Duty
Traffic Officers are on hand, managing strategic closures around the affected stretch to keep motorists safe and help emergency crews do their job swiftly. Drivers are urged to follow all signs and instructions.
Follow This Diversion to Dodge the Gridlock
- Exit the M25 at Junction 8 (Reigate Hill Interchange) and take the third exit onto the A217 towards Reigate.
- Continue on A217, then switch to A25 heading for Redhill.
- At the A25/A23 roundabout in Redhill, turn right onto the A23 towards Gatwick.
- Then take the next roundabout left onto A25 towards Godstone.
- Go through Godstone and maintain direction at the mini roundabout.
- Rejoin the M25 at Junction 6 (Godstone Interchange) towards Sevenoaks.
Plan Ahead: Expect Delays and Take Extra Care
Motorists heading through this part of Surrey should allow plenty of extra time, consider alternate routes, or delay travel if possible. The closure aims to ease congestion and keep both emergency responders and the public safe.
Officials are working hard to clear the wrecks and reopen the motorway as soon as it’s safe. Keep an eye out for live updates and follow traffic officers’ guidance for your safety.
