Tragic Crash on A21 Leaves 88-Year-Old Woman Dead

A silver Nissan Micra was found overturned near the A21 slip road by Pembury Road, Tonbridge, at around 1.50pm on Tuesday 8 November 2022. Inside, police discovered the body of 88-year-old Eileen Johnston, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Missing Woman Found at Crash Site

Officers revealed Eileen had been reported missing from her croydon/" title="Croydon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Croydon home days earlier. Her car, registration starting LJ06, was located in a wooded area beside the road. Police are now investigating how she ended up at the crash site.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Detective Inspector Lynn Wilczek of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are working to establish Eileen’s movements between Sunday 6 November and Tuesday 8 November. We have been checking CCTV and ANPR cameras along her route.”

“We urge anyone who saw Eileen or her silver Nissan Micra, or has dashcam footage, to come forward. This could be crucial to our investigation.”
