Masked Intruder Forces Way Into Home in Dead of Night
A terrifying break-in unfolded on Ordnance Street at around 3.30 a.m. last Sunday, June 5, 2022. A man forced his way into a house and woke a woman asleep in her bedroom, threatening her before she managed to escape and call for help.
Clues Point to Serial Break-In Attempt
Police arrived swiftly after the alarm and found a downstairs rear window left wide open. Inside the bedroom, they discovered a screwdriver believed to be the intruder’s tool. Officers are linking this incident to another attempted burglary nearby at 3.10 a.m. where a bathroom window was also found open after a loud noise was reported.
Multiple Incidents in the Night
- At 1.30 a.m., a resident heard footsteps on their roof extension.
- When confronted, the suspect threatened them before leaping over a garden fence to escape.
Suspect Description & Police Appeal
The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair, wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark puffer jacket.
