Warehouse Heist Shakes Phoenix Park

In a daring overnight raid on Thursday 26 November 2020, criminals targeted a warehouse at Phoenix Park, Parkwood, making off with a large haul of parcels — and a van.

Quick Police Action Leads to Arrests

By the same day, police caught up with the stolen van in Maidstone, arresting two men. However, the stolen parcels remain missing.

The suspects, 23-year-olds David Walker from Gillingham and Jimmy Read, who has no fixed address, were charged with conspiracy to burglarise with intent to steal. They faced Medway Magistrates’ Court on 28 November and were bailed to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 4 January 2021.

Ongoing Hunt for Missing Parcels

Kent Police are still investigating and urge anyone who spotted suspicious activity around Phoenix Park between 5pm on 25 November and 1am on 26 November to come forward.
