Hit-and-Run Horror: Elderly Woman Struck in Margate

Kent Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a woman in her seventies injured in Margate. The shocking crash happened at a busy junction, and the culprit sped off without stopping.

The collision took place at 10:21am on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, at the junction of Rancorn Road and Westbrook Avenue. Emergency crews rushed the elderly victim to hospital with minor injuries.

Eyewitnesses say the hit-and-run driver was behind the wheel of a red Fiat Punto. Officers are now combing through CCTV and dashcam footage to catch the reckless motorist.
