Big Drug Bust in Tunbridge Wells: £3,400 Cash and Cocaine Seized

Police Strike Early Morning at Bartley Mill Road

The Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team swooped on an address in Bartley Mill Road during the early hours of Friday 13 November 2020. Officers uncovered a stash of drugs and nearly £1,400 in cash. But the haul didn’t end there.

Linked Eastbourne Address Yields More Drugs and £2,020

Police also raided a connected property in Eastbourne, recovering an additional £2,020 and more drugs. Two luxury BMWs were impounded as part of the ongoing investigation.

Two Men Arrested and Charged

Cosmo Budd, 23, from Burwash Weald, East Sussex, and 25-year-old Hussain Alwari from Eastbourne, were arrested at the scene. Both men face charges of possessing cocaine with intent to supply and being involved in cocaine supply.

The pair appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 14 November and have been remanded in custody. Their next hearing is scheduled at Maidstone Crown Court on 14 December.
