Two Men Charged with Murder of Steven Brown in Stoke Newington

Two men have been hit with murder charges over the fatal stabbing of Steven Brown, 47, in April 2019. Alican Cetinkaya, 24, from Tottenham, and Reece Lucey, 23, from Islington, were charged on 14 September for the shocking killing.

Grim Details of the Attack

Steven was found brutally stabbed on Mathias Road, Stoke Newington, on 17 April 2019. Police rushed to the scene and desperately tried CPR before paramedics arrived. Sadly, Steven was pronounced dead at 6.10pm from a stab wound to the heart.

A post-mortem confirmed haemorrhage as the cause of death.

Additional Charges Add to Crime’s Horrific Nature

  • Cetinkaya faces a charge of possession of an offensive weapon.
  • Lucey is also charged with throwing corrosive fluid intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both accused men are set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 15 September.
