Three Friends Guilty of Stabbing Teen to Death in London

Paulinho Paulo, 20, from Walton Road, E12, and Dullah Abdullah, 21, of Eton Road, Ilford, were found guilty today at the Old Bailey. Their friend Sultan Chaudhry, 20, of High Street South, E6, pleaded guilty to manslaughter during the trial after initially being charged with murder. The shocking verdict follows a brutal attack on 18-year-old Amara in June.

Teen Chased and Stabbed 17 Times in Brutal Attack

In the early hours of June 30, police were called to reports of a fight at Sutherland Walk, SE17. Amara was chased on foot by Paulo and Abdullah before being stabbed 17 times. The whole savage attack lasted under four minutes. Despite seeking help by flagging down a passing car, Amara tragically died at 7.23am in hospital.

Violent Past Caught Up With Trio

Detective Chief Inspector John Massey led the investigation, praising the local community and police. He said:

“Paulo, Abdullah and Chaudhry have violent and criminal backgrounds and they will now pay the price for their actions. A family is now left without a son and they will have to live the rest of their lives with this loss.”

“I would like to pay particular tribute to the courage and dignity Amara’s mother has shown throughout this incredibly traumatic time and hope that today’s verdict provides a sense of justice and some degree of closure.”

After sifting through hours of CCTV and phone data, detectives pieced together the fatal confrontation. The three friends and their group had earlier clashed with Amara and his mates outside a fast food joint on Walworth Road before splitting up—leading to the deadly chase on Sutherland Walk.

Sentencing Set for New Year

The trio will be sentenced at the Old Bailey early next year. The community now hopes justice will finally bring some peace after this tragic loss.
