Drug Duo Busted with £6 Million Cocaine Haul
Two Essex men have been smashed by a joint National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police task force after they tried to move a whopping 76 kilos of cocaine worth nearly £6.2 million.
How the Crime Unfolded
Christopher Low from Chipping Ongar masterminded the operation, while Michael Henson of Harlow handled the cash. Cop surveillance caught Low driving between his home and Henson’s, swapping cars before making a shady pickup in Brentford.
- Low collected a 40kg suitcase of cocaine from a Land Rover Discovery driver – a stash valued at £3.2m.
- Police swooped, arresting Low and finding £44,420 in cash plus a small amount of Class A drugs worth £5,600 at his house.
- At Henson’s shed, officers uncovered 37kg of cocaine (£2.96m), £69,800 cash, mephedrone (£6,800), and herbal cannabis (£900).
Strong Words from the Authorities
“Class A drugs like cocaine have no place in our society, where they cause exploitation and suffering,” said a spokesperson. “Through this strong partnership between the NCA and the Met, we will continue to pursue organised criminals like Low and Henson and bring them to justice.”
The duo now face serious charges as law enforcement cracks down on the drug trade ravaging communities across the UK.
