Southampton Burglary and Cash Heist: Two Men Charged and Remanded

Detectives in Southampton have charged two men following a spree involving a burglary in Shirley and a cash-in-transit robbery in Totton.

Cash Box Stolen in Brazen Overnight Heist

Robert Yeo, 34, of Winchfield Close, Southampton, faces charges of non-dwelling burglary and handling criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act. The crime spree began just after midnight on September 7 when a cash box containing £10,500 was snatched from a G4S driver outside Nationwide Bank on Commercial Road.

£41,000 Damage at New Century Bingo Club Break-In

Ricky Severn, 30, of Alder Road, has also been charged with acquiring criminal property linked to the same offences. Between September 29 and 30, the New Century Bingo Club on Shirley Road was targeted in a break-in, resulting in over £41,000 in damages.

Justice Moves Swiftly at Southampton Magistrates

Both men have appeared before Southampton Magistrates and were remanded into custody as investigations continue. Authorities remain committed to cracking down on local crime and recovering stolen assets.
