Two Men Jailed for Horrifying Bradford Sex Attack

Two men have been slammed with heavy prison sentences for a shocking case of rape, sexual assault, and false imprisonment in Bradford. They were convicted after luring a young woman to a house and subjecting her to a nightmarish ordeal in March 2023.

El Fadaidill Ibrahim Gets 13 Years for Rape

El Fadaidill Ibrahim, 29, from Halifax, was found guilty of multiple offences, including the rape of a female over 16, false imprisonment, sexual assault, and intentional strangulation. He was sentenced to 13 years for rape, six years for false imprisonment, two and a half years for strangulation, and four months for sexual assault — all to run concurrently. Ibrahim must also register as a sex offender for life.

Mohammed Abou-Gardda Sentenced to 5½ Years

Mohammed Abou-Gardda, 30, of Pemberton Drive, Bradford, pleaded guilty to sexual assault, false imprisonment, and common assault. He received five and a half years for false imprisonment, plus four months each for sexual and common assault, running concurrently. Abou-Gardda will be on the sex offenders register for seven years.

Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery, Urges Others to Speak Out

“We welcome the sentence handed down to both men today. They lured the victim to a house and took advantage by raping and sexually assaulting her. They are dangerous men who deserve to be behind bars for a very long time,” said Detective Inspector Richard Fox of Bradford Adult Safeguarding Team.

“I want to acknowledge the victim’s bravery throughout the investigation and trial. I hope today’s sentence brings her some closure and justice after a harrowing ordeal.”

“We take all reports of sexual assault seriously and in confidence. A specialist team is ready to support victims through the investigation. If anyone has been assaulted, please come forward.”
