Quad and Moped Chaos Sparks Massive Kent Police Hunt

Kent Police were called to tackle a wild crowd of mopeds and quad bikes tearing up the roads near Rochester Road, Gravesend, on Sunday morning, 26 February 2023.

Helicopter Tracks Riders to Isle of Sheppey

Officers swooped in with help from a police helicopter, tracking the raucous riders all the way to Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey.

Four Arrested, Five Bikes Seized

The crackdown saw four people arrested for several offences, while another rider was reported for summons. Police also confiscated five motorbikes linked to the chaos.

Charges Laid and Court Dates Set

  • Liam Brum, 23, from Yevele Close, Queenborough, faces charges of driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop, and careless driving.
  • Jack Courtney, 32, of James Street, Sheerness, is charged with careless driving on a public road.

Both men have been bailed and are set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court—Brum on 29 March and Courtney on 27 April.

Meanwhile, two other men arrested are currently on bail as investigations continue.
