Police Crackdown on Moped Mayhem Near Gravesend
Kent Police swooped on Sunday morning after reports of reckless moped and quad bike riders causing chaos near Rochester Road, Gravesend. The call came in around 11am on 26 February 2023.
Chopper Tracks Antisocial Riders to Isle of Sheppey
With the help of a police helicopter, officers chased the unruly bikers all the way to Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey. The police made four arrests and seized five motorbikes in the operation.
Riders Face Serious Charges
- Liam Brum, 23, from Queenborough, was charged with driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop for police, and careless driving.
- Jack Courtney, 32, of Sheerness, was charged with driving without due care and attention.
Both men have been bailed and are set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court. Brum’s hearing is on 29 March, while Courtney faces court on 27 April.
Further Investigations Underway
Two other men arrested have been released on bail as police continue to dig deeper into the incidents.
