Brothers’ Axe and Knife Attack on 78-Year-Old in Wath
On 26 October 2019, Christopher and Stephen Bouskill stormed an electrical shop on High Street, Wath, armed with an axe and a knife. The ruthless brothers threatened the 78-year-old shop owner, pushed him to the floor, then robbed him of his wallet and £700 from the till.
Brave Victim and a Police Dog Nab Getaway Driver
PC Jessica Pearce revealed the shocking scene: “The victim feared for his life. He was attacked and threatened at knifepoint. His bravery in helping our investigation is admirable.”
Christopher, 40, fled in a getaway car – only to get stuck in floodwater. A police dog quickly caught him. After arrest, Christopher was tied to another burglary on 23 October in Church Street, Swinton, where a laptop, cash, and valuables were stolen.
Stephen Linked to £10,000 Jewellery Heist
Stephen, 45, was also caught and connected to a break-in on 17 October in Bradlea Rise, Rawmarsh. Nearly £10,000 worth of precious jewellery was stolen.
Justice Served – 10 Years Behind Bars Each
“The Bouskill brothers are nasty, prolific offenders – a total blight on Rotherham,” said PC Pearce. “I’m pleased justice has been done and both are behind bars for a significant time.”
The siblings, both formerly of Albany Road, Rotherham, pleaded guilty and were each sentenced to 10 years in Sheffield Crown Court.
