Seventh Man Charged in Islington Murder of Imani Allaway-Muir
Police have made a major breakthrough in the murder investigation of Imani Allaway-Muir, the 22-year-old who was fatally shot in Islington in July 2020. James Nicholson, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder. He was arrested on Thursday, 25 February, and is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 26 February.
Series of Arrests in Imani’s Killing
Imani was tragically killed on 4 July 2020. Since then, six other men have been charged in connection with his murder:
- Nathaniel Reece, 39, of Southgate Road, N1 – charged 9 July 2020
- Matthew Hardy, 34, of Six Acres Estate, N4 – charged 9 July 2020
- Darren Dredge, 38, no fixed address – charged 16 July 2020
- Hassan Hamza, 27, of Arundel Square, N7 – charged 16 July 2020
- Demetrios Kyriacou, 33, of Liverpool Road, N1 – charged 16 July 2020
- Dean Walker, 31, of Shearling Way, N7 – charged 3 December 2020
Trial Date Set for Murder Case
