Two Thugs Locked Up for Graft in Manchester Crime Spree
Declan Flynn, from Moorfield Avenue, Denton, and Ryan McCormack, a homeless man, have been jailed for lengthy spells at Manchester Crown Court. Flynn got four-and-a-half years, while McCormack was handed four years behind bars.
Rampage of Robbery, Assault & More
The pair faced a barrage of charges including:
- Two counts of robbery, including stealing a motor vehicle
- Burglary of a dwelling with a motor vehicle theft
- Five assaults on emergency workers
- Section 47 assault on a police officer
- Possession of a bladed article
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
- Assault to resist arrest
The crime spree kicked off on 10 December 2021 and only ended when both were arrested on 25 January 2022.

“Declan Flynn and Ryan McCormack are cowardly and dangerous individuals. They preyed on vulnerable people in the street, no matter the time or place,” said Detective Sergeant Peter Goddard from Tameside. “Our Neighbourhood Crime Team worked tirelessly to bring these two to justice. Today’s sentencing should send a clear warning to anyone thinking of committing crime about the consequences they face.”
