Chaos hit Nottingham’s streets early Sunday morning as a stolen car spree unfolded across the city.

Car Stolen from Supermarket Sparks Wild Chase

Police were scrambled just after 8am when a vehicle was nabbed from a supermarket carpark on Castle Bridge Road. The drama quickly escalated when that car crashed in Beckley Road, Aspley.

Second Vehicle Snatched in Broad Daylight

Moments later, a second car was stolen from outside a house nearby. The theft spree didn’t end there — the second vehicle was itself taken in Meredith Close, The Meadows.

Man Arrested in The Meadows

A 42-year-old man was detained at another address in The Meadows and arrested on suspicion of theft and burglary linked to an earlier break-in that morning. Police later released him on bail.

“This was an extremely challenging incident to deal with and the officers involved did a great job in tracking this suspect and bringing him into custody,” said Sergeant John Meanwell of Nottinghamshire Police.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the chaotic morning. Investigations continue as police piece together the full story.
