Man, 24, Stabbed to Death in Shocking Caversham Attack
Late-Night Murder Shakes Quiet Neighbourhood
Just before 1am on February 14th, Thames Valley Police were called to Managua Close in Caversham. Officers found a 24-year-old man with a fatal stab wound to his chest. He tragically died at the scene.
The victim’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Police Launch Urgent Murder Probe
Detective Inspector Nicola Douglas, leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has lost his life. We are in the early stages of the inquiry and working quickly to catch those responsible.”
She confirmed there is a cordon in place with extra officers patrolling the area as house-to-house inquiries begin. The investigation covers Managua Close, Nire Road, and Ian Mikado Way.
Police Urge Public to Share Any CCTV or Dashcam Footage
Detective Inspector Douglas added: “If you have CCTV or dashcam footage between 11pm on February 13th and 1am today, please check it for anything suspicious. Even small details could be key.”
She urged witnesses or locals who saw or heard anything unusual to come forward immediately. The police reassured residents that officers are on hand to answer questions and offer reassurance.
