A 16-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed in East Acton after a row over a pushbike turned deadly on Saturday afternoon.
Two Stabbed in Fatal East Acton Attack
Police rushed to Erconwald Street just after 1pm following reports of a disturbance. Officers found two males with stab wounds. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male was taken to hospital and remains in an unknown condition. He was later arrested on suspicion of murder.
Family and Locals Reeling
The victim, known to friends and family as “KJ,” has left a community in shock. Loved ones gathered near the scene, laying flowers and mourning the tragic loss. A police raid on a nearby property later the same day added to rising tensions.
“I saw them doing CPR then I saw they had stopped. The scream of the family went right through my soul. Brought tears to my eyes,”
said local resident Jen Case.
Police Hunt Witnesses as Street Remains Closed
Detectives are combing the area and have closed Erconwald Street while the investigation continues. The Metropolitan Police urge anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference 3435/05APR.
The fatal stabbing has rattled East Acton, sparking fresh calls for tougher action against knife crime plaguing London’s streets.
“It’s heartbreaking to think a young life has been lost over something as trivial as a bike. Our thoughts are with the family,”
said a local resident.
