Man in 50s Brutally Attacked in Early Morning Horror
A local man in his 50s was savagely beaten with kicks and punches just before 6am on Thursday, September 16th. Thankfully, members of the public rushed to his aid.
Teens Nabbed Fast After Attack
Three suspects were caught nearby soon after the assault. Two of them – teenage girls aged 15 and 16 from Brighton and Crawley – faced serious charges. Both were charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH). The 16-year-old also assaulted a police officer during arrest.
The girls’ names are withheld due to their ages.
Harsh Sentences at Brighton Court
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 5, justice was served. The 15-year-old girl got 12 months behind bars. The 16-year-old received a 12-month youth offending order and was placed under social services’ care.
