Uxbridge Duo Found Guilty After Brutal Baseball Bat Attack

A man and woman have been convicted of grievous bodily harm following a savage assault in Uxbridge.

James White, 22, of Morse Close, and Crystal Culhane, 22, from The Brambles, both admitted guilt at the Old Bailey on Friday, 27 November. Their sentencing is set for Wednesday, 23 December.

Attack Planned on ‘Date’ Turned Violent

The chilling attack unfolded in the early hours of 18 August 2019. White brutally bashed a 33-year-old man multiple times with a baseball bat after Culhane lured him to Dovedale Close.

Remarkably, White and Culhane were on a date that night, having reconnected after years apart. The victim was in a relationship with Culhane at the time—making the attack all the more shocking.

Phone Records and CCTV Expose Sinister Plot

  • Phone records revealed Culhane repeatedly called and texted the victim to draw him out.
  • Several deleted messages were recovered, confirming the lure was deliberate.
  • CCTV footage showed the victim parking near White’s house before wandering the street on the phone.

Taking advantage of the victim’s distraction, White launched a brutal assault with the baseball bat, leaving the man unconscious.

Victim Left Critical, Suspects Arrested

The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition. His injuries were so severe he struggles to recall the attack.

Police arrested White at his home the next day, finding blood-stained clothes matching the crime scene.

Culhane was arrested too, caught trying to visit the victim in hospital.

Despite the evidence, the motive behind the savage attack remains a mystery.
