Ex-Vicar, 80, Charged with Child Rape from the 1990s
Shock as former Anglican vicar Ifor Whittaker, 80, faces serious charges including rape and gross indecency with a boy under 14. The alleged abuse happened in the late 1990s. At the time, Whittaker served as Father Colin Pritchard at St John The Baptist Church in Sedlescombe.
Victim Comes Forward Decades Later
The victim, now in his 30s, says the abuse took place when he was a young child. Whittaker has been remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance set for 10 June.
