Victim Plans How to Survive Killer Ex Amid Harrowing Abuse

Imagine living with the constant fear that your partner might try to kill you. This was the grim reality for a woman who endured nearly a decade of domestic abuse.

Ascot Man Jailed for Brutal Abuse

Toni Flisik, 38, from Fernback Crescent, Ascot, was sentenced to almost six years in prison at Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday (23 March). He pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and coercive controlling behaviour.

The victim revealed the torment began back in 2012. Flisik’s verbal cruelty was paired with violent attacks that left her with broken bones.

‘I Made Escape Plans in Case He Tried to Kill Me’

“The abuse has touched every part of my life,” the victim said. “I can’t escape the memories and invasive thoughts at night. I’ve planned where to hide, who to call, and how to protect myself if Toni came to my flat to kill me.”

“I’ve lost friends, jobs, and the chance to live like any normal young person.”

Police Urge Victims to Speak Out

Detective Constable Rachel Bennett called the abuse “horrific” and urged other victims to get help.

“Being a victim for nearly a decade is unthinkable. We take domestic abuse reports seriously and are here to support all victims,” she said.
