Party Animal Slapped with £10,000 Fine for Massive Nottingham Bash

A reckless 19-year-old has been hit with a whopping £10,000 fine after hosting a huge house party with over 50 guests in Lenton, Nottinghamshire. The wild gathering comes just days before new COVID-19 rules grind social mixing even harder — limiting meetups to just six people.

Police Take No Prisoners on Pandemic Rule Breakers

Nottinghamshire Police have made it clear they’re cracking down hard. Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cooper warned partygoers to think twice before flouting the rules this weekend.

“This party was a clear example of a householder who deliberately flouted the rules without a care for anyone else. We have used the full powers we have to deal with this,” Cooper said.

“Fines can run up to £10,000 for gatherings over 30 people, and now the limit drops to just six. We are not afraid to use our powers and will not tolerate those putting others’ lives at risk.”

Neighbours Call the Shots — Party Shut Down

Neighbours tipped off police around 10.20pm on Friday after the noisy bash kicked off on Harlaxton Drive. Community Protection Officers from Nottingham City Council were met with hostility when they first arrived, forcing police to step in.

Officers found around 50 revellers crammed inside. All were ordered to leave immediately. The party host was issued the hefty fixed penalty notice and faces court if he contests or refuses to pay.

Strong Words from Local Officials

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Amy English slammed the irresponsible behaviour:

“This resident had chances to shut down the party but chose not to. Many attendees definitely weren’t social distancing, putting everyone’s health at risk.”

“Most locals have stuck to the rules well. Enforcement is always a last resort, but we will act firmly against rule-breakers.”

Meanwhile, Nottingham City Councillor Rebecca Langton backed the crackdown:

“The police action sends a clear message: breaking the rules during a global pandemic won’t be tolerated. We’ll do everything to keep our communities safe.”

Big Fines Ready for Rule-Breakers

With COVID restrictions tightening, Nottinghamshire Police warn that anyone organising or allowing large gatherings at their homes faces tough penalties — up to £10,000 in fines. This party bust is a stark warning: the authorities mean business.
