Hit-and-run horror in Swindon as stolen car strikes pedestrian
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Shocking Crash
Wiltshire Police are hunting witnesses after a hit-and-run left a man in his 40s with serious injuries yesterday afternoon. The victim was struck around 3:35pm at the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road in Swindon.
Stolen Vauxhall ADAM GLAM Used in Collision
The vehicle involved was a stolen green Vauxhall ADAM GLAM, taken overnight from Swindon’s Old Town. Police found the car abandoned near the crash scene, but the two male suspects jumped out and fled on foot towards Hornbeam Court.
Suspect Descriptions Released
- One man wore blue jeans and a white top, sporting a beard.
- The other was dressed all in black and wore a hat.
Police Appeal for Ring Doorbell Footage and Witnesses
Officers urge locals around the area to check any Ring doorbell or CCTV footage that might have caught the suspects or the stolen car. This could be vital in catching those responsible.
Anyone with information should contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting log 214 of 30 January. The investigation is very much underway as cops hunt the hit-and-run culprits.
