Man Attacked in Early Morning Mugging on Somerset Road
At around 2am on Friday, 17 December, a man was approached by a stranger in the Somerset Road area who demanded his belongings. The victim was then attacked, suffering an eye injury that needed hospital treatment.
No Theft Reported Despite Violent Assault
Despite the assault, nothing was taken from the victim during the incident. Police Constable Danny Holloway urged witnesses to come forward.
“At the moment the victim cannot describe the suspect. We understand details are limited, but anyone in the area who saw anything suspicious should get in touch,” PC Holloway said.
